So much Superman

Astute readers of the news have seen a rise in the word Superman in the headlines. Warner Home Entertainment has pulled out every possible stop to give the public everything which has ever been emblazoned with a red “S”. Yesterday, Warner posted a complete listing of titles being released in conjunction with the upcoming Superman Returns. Some of this news has been reported earlier, but here’s a complete rundown of what’s in store. Fans of the Man of Steel are going to need a bigger video shelf.

In the spring, a new documentary Look! Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman makes its debut along with season 1 of Superboy and the third volume of Superman: The Animated Series.

The fall will bring season 5 of Smallville

Later in the year, the new film Superman Returns, along with new special editions of Superman, Superman II, Superman III, Superman IV and Supergirl and a special Donner cut of Superman II as well as two box sets of varying degrees of uber-packedness, the 1948 and 1950 serials and the first set of Justice Leage Unlimited.

All this plus seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Lois & Clark and seasons 2-6 of The Adventures of Superman, Justice League and Krypto the Superdog throughout the year.

That’s a whole-lotta Super.
