Masters Of Horror: Cigarette Burns

On Anchor Bay Entertainment’s release of “Masters Of Horror: John Carpenter’s Cigarette Burns” the studio has added some extras, hidden away from immediate view. Here is how you too can access them.

From the DVD’s Main Menu go to the “Extras” section and there highlight the “Main Menu” entry. Then press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control to highlight a cigarette burn in the upper right corner of the screen. If you press the “enter” key now you will get to see outtakes from a number of scenes in the film.

Back on the “Extras” menu screen, select the menu entry “Trailers” and on the following screen you will se a list of trailers of the first season films of the Masters of Horror series. Highlight the “Main Menu” entry and then press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control to reveal another cigarette burn in the upper right corner of the screen. Press “Enter” and a screen will appear with a secret code (22773). You can use this secret code on the Masters Of Horror website to access a very cool activity on the website which allows you to create your own ending for any of the Masters of Horror short films.

Now it is time to return to the disc’s Main Menu. There, select the “Audio Setup” entry and on the following screen highlight the entry “Main Menu.” Press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control to reveal another cigarette burn, which will give you access to a short featurette on the movie’s visual effects.
