On New Line Home Entertainment’s release of the David Cronenberg film “A History Of Violence” the studio has also added a number of interesting hidden features for you to discover. Here is how to get to them.

From the DVD’s Main Menu select the “Special Features” menu entry and on the following page highlight the menu entry “Scene 44 (Deleted Scene).” Now, press the “Right” directional key on your remote control and a splatter of blood will appear on the bottom right of your screen. Press the “Enter” key now and you will be treated to a brief and funny interview segment in which actor Ed Harris describes exactly who the film itself will likely appeal to.

Now, back on the “Special Features” menu page select the entry “Acts Of Violence” and on the page that follows highlight the menu entry “Random.” Press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control now and you will see a candle highlight appear at the bottom of the page. Press the “Enter” key and you will see a short clip of actor Viggo Mortensen blowing out his birthday candles on the set.

Back on the menu screen, make sure the entry “Random” is still highlighted and now press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control and a fish will appear at the bottom of the page. Now it is time to hit the “Enter” key to get access to a short clip of Viggo playing around with a fish on the set.
