Shout! Factory and DIC Entertainment have just unveiled plans to release The Super Mario Brothers Super Show on DVD this March as a Collector’s DVD box set, which includes 24 half-hour episodes of the animated adventures from the hit television series.

Based on the Nintendo video games, “The Super Mario Brothers” are a nostalgic cult favorite of fans around the world. The series had every kid in America in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s glued to the television to await the next animated Mushroom Kingdom escapade while the live-action segments explore life with Brooklyn’s best plumbers, Mario and Luigi

“The Super Mario Brothers Super Show!” box set includes four DVDs with special features such as brand new interviews with Captain Lou Albano (Mario), as well as an original art gallery for fans to explore. Additionally, celebrities make regular guest star appearances, including Nicole Eggert, Cyndi Lauper and Magic Johnson.

“The Super Mario Brothers Super Show!” will appear in stores on March 28 and carry a $29.98 sticker price.
