News Radio: Season 3 is coming in February

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing the third season of News Radio in February as a 3-disc DVD set, complete with a number of extras.

Dave Nelson (Dave Foley), an eager beaver from Wisconsin, moves to New York City to take over the News Director job at WNYX. All eyes are on Dave as he struggles to assert his authority and command the respect of his quirky co-workers. Hardworking news writer Lisa Miller (Maura Tierney) resents Dave for taking the job she expected would be hers; anchors Bill McNeal (Phil Hartman) and Catherine Duke (Khandi Alexander) need constant refereeing and ego-stroking while clueless station owner Jimmy James (Stephen Root) is an eccentric billionaire who can’t handle confrontation. Slacker secretary Beth (Vicki Lewis), accident-prone street reporter Matthew Brock (Andy Dick) and Joe Garelli (Joe Rogan), the resident electrician and conspiracy theorist, round out the newsroom. Season three includes a run for president, a Dilbert obsession, and an episode in which the staff is not invited to the boss’s Halloween party.

The 3-disc DVD release will feature all episodes of the show’s third season in fullscreen presentations with an English stereo track. The release will also include a Commentary Track with cast members and the show’s creator, as well as Bloopers

“News Radio: Season 3” will be on the air on February 28 for $39.98
