Good Morning DVD

Touchstone will revisit one of their earliest DVD releases (remember those huge purple “Widescreen” banners?) with a new special edition of the Robin William’s hit Good Morning Vietnam.

A new Disc Jockey is shipped from Crete to Vietnam to bring humor to Armed Forces Radio. He wildly popular with the troops but runs afoul of the middle management who think he isn’t G.I. enough. While he is off the air, he tries to meet Vietnamese especially girls, and begins to have brushes with the real war that never appears on the radio.

The new disc will contain a six part production diary with the featurettes “How the movie came to be”,“Actor improv”,“Music of the movie”,“Origin of the Good Morning, Vietnam! sign-on”,“Shooting in Thailand” and “Good Morning, Vietnam: One year later – A look back” plus raw footage of Williams’ monologues.

The new disc will arrive January 10th and will carry a $19.99 suggested retail price.
