Jackass goes back to Vol. 1

MTV’s releases of the Jackass segments are nothing new. But of curious note is the fact that the releases started with Vol. 2 since the originally planned Vol. 1 had some material Warner wasn’t too convinced was releasable. Now, finally the first volume of Jackass is coming to DVD.

For better or worse, from 2000-2002, MTV funded a bumbling lot cast of misfits to play with poo, dress in a variety of men’s undergarments, and present their own brand of ridiculous physical entertainment, goofball antics and absurd pranks. From stapling “Jackass” on their rear-ends to mounting magazine stands in gorilla costumes, Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O and the rest of the gang prove that arrested development never looked more fun.

Over 100 segments are on the disc which also features a brand new audio commentary track with the entire original gang, including Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Dave England, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, Dimitry Elyashkevich and producer Jeff Tremaine.

The disc arrives on December 6th along with a box set of all the Jackassery.
