We just got word that Anchor Bay Home Entertainment is readying Sam Raimi’s cult horror hit Evil Dead 2 for release on UMD for your Playstation Portable (PSP).

Starring Bruce Campbell and directed by Sam Raimi, “Evil Dead 2” helped re-define the modern movie sequel, taking the chilling premise of the first Evil Dead and adding a healthy dose of comedy to the terrifying proceedings, resulting in one of the most unique – and hysterical – follow-ups in the history of horror films.

The “Evil Dead 2” UMD is scheduled for release on January 3.
