20th Century Fox is bringing the first season of Alien Nation to DVD

The movie is available on DVD already, and now 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment finally is also serving up the TV series that was spawned by the success of Alien Nation.

The series follows the day by day exploits of LA cops Matthew Sikes and his partner George Francisco. The only problem is, Francisco is an alien and Sikes hates aliens. So instead of focusing on the task at hand, many times the two get caught up in their own animosities. But the job is demanding and dangerous, in a future world where humans and aliens live side-by-side.

The DVD release will feature the original fullscreen presentation of the show and come with a Dolby Stereo audio track in English, as well as a mono French track. No extras will be part of the release.

The six disc “Alien Nation: Season One” DVD set will be in stores on January 3, carrying a $49.99 suggested retail price.
