We just got word that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has scheduled the live action movie The Fantastic Four for their DVD debut this December.
This new comic book adaptation features a group of astronauts who gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom. Directed by Tim Story and marking Mark Frost’s return to screenwriting the film got a decent reception at the box office making $151 million in boxoffice returns.
The DVD will feature Behind-the scenes Footage, Deleted Scenes and a selection of Featurettes as well as a Music Video and a preview for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s hotly anticipated “X-Men 3.”
“The Fantastic Four” will make their way to DVD on December 6 at a suggested retail price of $29.98. A UMD version of the Sony PSP will also be available. As soon as more specific feature details about the release will come in we’ll let you know.
