This morning sad news reached us from one of his closest friends that filmmaker Robert Wise passed away last night as a result of a heart failure. Wise celebrated his 91st birthday only a few days ago.

Robert Wise is probably best know to the film community for directing films such as The Day The Earth Stood Still, West Side Story, The Haunting, The Sound Of Music and, of course, Star Trek: The Motion Picture among many others. He was a charming, caring and highly entertaining man who will be missed by everyone.
