With the release of the new 2-disc special edition of Toy Story on DVD, word comes from Buena Vista Home Entertainment that a special edition of Toy Story 2 will be coming out later in the year.

The new DVD will have the same high bit-rate transfer as the first film and audio in Dolby Digital and DTS sound. More features are on the way soon.

The DVD arrives on December 26th. Why put out such a great film the day after Christmas? Who knows, but it will be a welcome addition to the toy shelf for New Years.
