Universal celebrates Bela Lugosi with new releases

Classic horror icon Bela Lugosi is coming to haunt DVD again this fall, courtesy of Universal Home Entertainment. The studio is putting together five of his films that have not been released on DVD before and launches the pack as The Bela Lugosi Collection in September.

Included in the five movie collection are the 1932 production Murders In The Rue Morgue, the films Black Friday, The Raven, The Invisible Ray and The Black Cat, all of them classic horror gems, in which Lugosi shares the screen with another horror icon and friendly rival, Boris Karloff. The DVD release will come in a special collectible packaging, though no extras have been announced – and carry a low $26.98 retail price when it comes to stores on September 6.
