Universal bows Coal Miner’s Daughter this fall

Michael Apted’s critically acclaimed film detailing the story of country singer Loretta Lynn, Coal Miner’s Daughter is coming to DVD once again this fall, but this time as a Special Edition.

The film, based on the life of the queen of country music, starring Sissy Spacek as Loretta Lynn, with supporting cast members Tommy Lee Jones and Beverly D’Angelo, features many memorable songs by the country legend and won numerous awards.

Universal Home Entertainment is now trying to do justice to the film by releasing a 25th Anniversary Edition that comes with a completely restored, enhanced 5.1 channel audio mix. The release will also feature a Commentary Track by director Michael Apted and actress Sissy Spacek. In a Featurette Tommy Lee Jones the movie, while an Excusive Interview on the release will reveal all about Loretta Lynn and Michael Apted.

Look for “Coal Miner’s Daughter” on September 13 with a $19.98 price tag attached to it.
