Red Dwarf IV

On BBC Home Video’s release of “Red Dwarf IV” once again the studio has added a few funny hidden features for fans of the British space comedy series to discover.

First, insert the first disc of the DVD set and on the Main Menu select the “Select Episode” menu entry. Using the directional keys on your remote control, select the skutter with the tape in his mouth as he is moving down the hall and then press the “Enter” key. You will now be treated to a clip showing all the actors in the commentary room talking about an Easter Egg. When they actually find a chocolate egg under Danny John-Jules hat, they unwrap it, eat the chocolate while joking around all the time.

Now, insert the second disc of the DVD set and on the “Bonus Materials” menu, select the entry “Bonus Animated Menu.” Highlight the curry box at the bottom of the screen and when the matter paddle appears on the left and you see the paddle turning green, pres the “Left” arrow key on your remote control. A question mark will appear on the screen and if you press “Enter” now you will see a short animated commentary of the episode “Dimension Jump.

Now go back to the ”Bonus Materials“ menu and select the entry ”Bonus Menu Plain Text.“ On the next screen highlight the menu entry ”Back“ and then press the ”Left“ arrow key on your remote to highlight the matter paddle. Now press ”Enter“ and you’ll be treated to a short animated commentary of the episode ”Dimension Jump.’
