Titus comes back to the small screen

The three year run of the Fox sitcom Titus weren’t quite enough to secure it for syndication, so the upcoming release of the DVD will be the first time the series has been available in three years.

Drawing from the semi-autobiographical tribulations of his own family background and upbringing, Titus stars Christopher as himself, guiding the audience on a weekly visit with his dysfunctional, poor family. Between his crude, rarely-sober father Ken, his dimwitted brother Dave and his goody-goody best friend Tommy Shafter, it’s amazing Titus is alive and sane, let alone engaged to “normal” girlfriend Erin Fitzpatrick.

The six disc set contains the first two seasons from the show as well as audio commentaries with creators Christopher Titus, Brian Hargrove and Jack Kenny, interviews, a promo and rehearsal footage.

The set arrives on July 12th with a suggested retail price of $44.98.
