The Stranger Wore a Gun in at least 2D

One of the first 3-D films released, The Stranger Wore a Gun was a hit in 1953. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a DVD release later this summer.

Lt. Jeff Travis is a former Civil War spy who heads west to start a new life. In Arizona, Travis meets up with an old friend who he discovers is planning a gold robbery. Unfortunately, the intended vicitim, the owner of a freight line, coincidentally turns out to be the father of Travis’ love interest.

No word on extras or if the film will be presented in 3-D, but the disc arrives on September 6th for $14.94.
