For all those who missed the release of the spectacular HBO mini series From The Earth To The Moon in 1998, shortly after DVD’s inception, HBO Home Video is now releasing a new version of the movie.

The acclaimed series chronicles the race into space to get to the moon during the 1960s, covering the historic events in feature film form. The result is a mesmerizing and highly dramatic series of films that no one should miss.

Entitled the “Signature Edition” the 5-disc DVD set will now contain anamorphic transfers of the show’s episodes as well as 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and DTS audio tracks, markedly improving over the original release. Brimming with extras, the release will also contain the Featurette “A Brief History Of Astronomers,” as well as a Special Effects Featurette . Further you’ll find John F. Kennedy’s pivotal 1961 Speech that started the space race on the release. Also included are featurettes like “Out Of This Solar system,” “History Of The Moon”, “The Space Race” and a number of Promo Trailers.

The “From The Earth To The Moon: Signature Edition” will be in stores on September 20 and carry a $99.98 price tag.
