Alexander makes its DVD debut in August

We have also obtained information that Warner Home Video will b releasing Oliver Stone’s historic epic Alexander in August. The film will bow in three different versions – a single-disc Director’s Cut full screen version, a two-disc Director’s Cut widescreen Special Edition and a 2-disc version containing the theatrical cut of the movie.

Boasting an impressive line-up of stars, including Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins and Val Kilmer among others, “Alexander” tells the story of the short life of the Macedonian king as he made history defeating the Persian Empire and leading his ways all the way to India.

The Director’s Cut DVD versions will contain a Commentary Track by director Oliver Stone, while the theatrical version will include a commentary by Stone and historian Robin Lane Fox. The 2-disc versions will further offer a series of Featurettes, such as “Resurrecting Alexander: Stone’s Filmmaking Vision,” “Perfect Is The Enemy Of Good: Creating Epic Battles,” “The Death Of Alexander: Secrets of the Actors’ Performances,” and “Vangelis Scores.”

“Alexander” will come to DVD on August 2 priced at $29.95 for the Special Editions, and $27.95 for the single-disc version.
