Dawson’s Creek: Season 5 is rolling your way

Join Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jen and Jack for more good times and heartbreaks when “Dwason’s Creek: The Complete Fifth Season” debuts on DVD in May.

Starring James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Michelle Williams and Kerr Smith, “Dawson’s Creek” captivated audiences with its unique combination of intelligent storylines, compelling characters and wry humor. The show became an instant critical and fan favorite followings its January 1998 debut on the WB and became one of the network’s top-rated shows. Currently in syndication on TBS Superstation, “Dawson’s Creek’s” popularity has remained strong as the previous seasons have debuted on DVD.

In the series’ fifth season, the gang makes the transition from adolescence to adulthood as they embark on their first year of college. Joey, Jen and Jack all move to Boston for college and try to adjust to life in the big city while Dawson pursues his dream of attending film school in Los Angeles and Pacey stays behind in Capeside to work. The fifth season also featured regular guest appearances by Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill,” A Cinderella Story), Sherilyn Fenn (Darkness Falls, The United States of Leland) and Busy Phillips (White Chicks, “Freaks and Geeks”). During its six year run, Dawson’s Creek was honored with the GLAAD Media Award for “Outstanding Dramatic TV Series,” nominated for a TV Guide Award for “Favorite Teen Show” and garnered three wins at the 2001 Teen Choice Awards.

Featuring the entire season of 23 episodes, the four-disc set will be available at a suggested retail price of $49.95 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
