Love it or hate it, the extended version of Dune has been a long requested title for the DVD format.

Both the 1984 David Lynch version and the extended three hour version (of which Lynch removed himself from) will be in the set in anamorphic widescreen, marking the first widescreen release of the extended version. The theatrical version is available in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 while the longer version is only in Dolby Digital 5.1. Behind the scenes footage, documentaries, a photo gallery, deleted scenes and artwork are included in the set.

The set will arrive on May 10th and carry a suggested retail price of $27.98.
