The eighth installment in the Star Trek film series will receive its collectors edition in March when Paramount Home Entertainment releases Star Trek First Contact: Collector’s Edition.

The DVD set will contain a new audio commentary from actor/director Jonathan Frakes and screenwriters Brannon Braga and Ronald D. Moore as well as a textual commentary by Michael and Denise Okuda. The second disc will include the featurettes “Jerry Goldsmith: A Tribute”, “The Legacy of Zefram Cochrane”, “First Contact: The Possibilities”, “Unimatrix One”, “The Queen”, “Design Matrix”, “The Story”, “The Missle Silo”, “The Deflector Dish”, “From ”A“ to ”E“ and ”Making First Contact”, scene deconstructions, storyboards, photo galleries and trailers.

The disc is scheduled to join the collective on March 15th.
