Renegade is coming from Columbia TriStar

Who would have guessed that Europe could reinvent the western, but that’s what happened in Renegade. Originally titled Blueberry in Europe, the western made is stateside, and is now coming to DVD from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Initiated by the Indians, Mike Blueberry, a Marshal in Palomito, tries to maintain the fine balance between two civilizations at the risk of not belonging anywhere. Everything changes the day a mysterious killer, Wally Blount, transforms the town into an inferno and brings up memories of his past. Blount is looking for an Indian “treasure.” Assisted by Runi, the shaman “brother” he grew up with, Blueberry must face Blount. However, in the heart of the sacred mountains, Blueberry also has to fight with his own demons to gain his freedom.

The disc contains the original anamorphic widescreen version of the disc with audio in both French and English. A making of featurette is included as well.

The film arrives November 2nd and carries a suggested retail price of $24.96.
