“The Hunger” is director Tony Scott’s debut film and features an all-star cast including Susan Sarandon, David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve. This film centers on Miriam Blaylock (Deneuve), a centuries-old vampire, who preys on urban club goers with her vampire lover John (Bowie). When John suddenly ages and wastes away, Miriam casts her spell on Sarah (Sarandon), a doctor who researches premature aging, and goes on a feeding rampage with her new partner. The release will includes a commentary track by Susan Sarandon and director Tony Scott, a still gallery and the movie’s trailer.

“He Knows You’re Alone” stars a 24-year-old Tom Hanks in his feature film debut. As New York women make preparations for their impending marriages, more and more are turning up dead. Detectives soon discover that women are the target of a psychotic maniac. Included on this DVD is a commentary by director Armand Mastroianni and screenwriter Tony Parker, as well as a trailer.

“It’s Alive!” is one of the great cult films of the ‘70s follows a couple who become the parents of a seemingly ordinary baby boy. However, the infant turns out to be a grotesque monster who embarks upon a grisly killing spree throughout Los Angeles. Featuring makeup by Academy Award®- winner Rick Baker and music from Academy Award®-winner Bernard Hermann, “It’s Alive!” is the first film in the legendary horror trilogy from writer/director Larry Cohen. The DVD will include a commentary track by writer/director Larry Cohen and trailers for all films of the trilogy.

“It’s Alive II & III” are the final two films in the “It’s Alive!” trilogy and continue the saga of the homicidal mutant infants from the original film. “It Lives Again” stars Frederic Forrest and Kathleen Lloyd as parents who realize that perhaps the only way to stop the mutant’s deadly spree is to become the bait for their own monster/child. Michael Moriarty and Karen Black star in “It’s Alive III: Island of the Alive,” the final installment of the classic horror trilogy. This time the now global terrors are rounded up and relocated to a far-flung island – but not for long. A commentary by writer/director Larry Cohen and trailers will be found on this double-feature disc.

“Return of the Living Dead Part II” is the first sequel to the zombie classic “Return of the Living Dead.” A gang of kids accidentally release a mysterious gas that wakes up the inhabitants of an adjacent graveyard. The zombies want only one thing and that’s BRAINS and there are plenty of them in the local town, which has been sealed off by the army. Look for a commentary by director Ken Wiederhorn and co-star Thor Van Lingen on this disc as well as a trailer.

As reported earlier, Roman Polanski’s vampire horror-parody “The Fearless Vampire Killers” is also part of the line-up and this spoof is widely lauded as one of the director’s masterpieces. Polanski also stars in the film as Alfred, the bumbling assistant to vampire hunter Professor Abronsius. After the two men arrive in a small village in search of vampires, Alfred falls for an innkeeper’s beautiful daughter (Sharon Tate), but she is soon snatched by a vampire. To rescue her, Alfred and the professor must confront the fearsome vampire Count Von Krolock. We can now confirm that the release will actually include “The Fearless Vampire Killers: Vampires 101,” a vintage making-of featurette as well as the movie’s theatrical trailer.

All titles are set for release on October 5 at a suggested retail price of $19.97.
