Elmer Bernstein 1922-2004

Too soon after the death of legendary screen composer Jerry Goldsmith, Hollywood has lost another man who brought music to the movies. Elmer Bernstein died at his home at the age of 82.

Composing film music from 1951 until this year, Bernstein composed some of the most memorable themes from the movies, from the dramatic tunes of The Magnificent Seven to Ghostbusters.

With over 200 films to his credit, Bernstein leaves us with a richer film history.
