A record number of bootleg DVDs of the Snoop Dog comedy Soul Plane flooded the black market before the films release, contributing to the extremely low numbers at the box office. Now ironically, MGM Home Entertainment must turn to DVD to save the film.

Two versions of the film will be available, the theatrical cut and the unrated Mile High Edition. Both will carry the film in anamorphic wirescreen and in Dolby Digital 5.1. An audio commentary, featurette, deleted scenes, outtakes, a music video, photo gallery and theatrical trailers will also be included on both. The unrated version will also contain a featurette on the extra footage.

Both versions will be priced at $26.95 and will arrive on time on September 7th.
