Blue Underground unleashes Lucio Fulci’s Zombie

A lot of legal ruckus has accompanied Lucio Fulci’s Zombie over the years and various companies claimed the home video rights to the film. It seems things have finally been sorted out and Blue Underground announced that they will have a completely remastered version of the film out on DVD in July.

In Italy, it was considered the ‘unofficial sequel’ to “Dawn Of The Dead.” In England, it was known as “Zombie Flesh-Eaters” and banned as obscene. In America, it was called “Zombie” and advertised with the depraved tag line “We are going to eat you!”

Tisa Farrow, Richard Johnson and Ian McCulloch star in this worldwide splatter sensation directed by the Maestro Of Gore Lucio Fulci that remains one of the most eye-skewering, skin-ripping, gore-gushingly graphic horror hits of all time!

Remastered from its original camera negative, Blue Underground has restored every frame of this cult classic for the best possible presentation and will release it in its original 2.35:! widescreen aspect ration in a transfer that is enhanced for 16:9 TV sets. Though not a full-blown Special Edition, the DVD will also contain Radio Spots, Trailers, Galleries and a Lucio Fulci Biography.

Keep you eyes open for this gory splatterfest, but make sure they won’t get gauged out when this DVD appears in stores on July 27 at a suggested retail price of $19.95.
