Home Video Entertainment will release the nine part documentary Heritage: Civilization and the Jews this summer as a four-disc set.

In 1984, Thirteen/WNET New York made television history with the PBS broadcast of Heritage: Civilization and the Jews. The nine-hour documentary series, hosted by Abba Eban, traced the history of the Jewish people from biblical times to the present, telling their story as part of the broader history of Western Civilization.

The documentary will come spread over three discs. The forth disc will be a DVD-ROM (compatible with both PC and Mac). The DVD-ROM contains timelines as well as lesson plans for using the documentary as a learning tool.

The set will arrive April 27th and will carry a $99.95 suggested retail price.
