The X-Files concludes

Let’s take a moment to thank Twentieth Century Fox. In the late nineties, DVD was the almost exclusive domain on motion pictures. The only TV available was a couple episodes of The Wonder Years, Xena and Star Trek being released two episodes at a time. It was The X-Files Season One that changed that with a complete season box set with supplements – a format now commonplace from cult BBC programs to classic TV. Now Fox completes the program with The X-Files: The Complete Ninth Season.

All 19 episodes from the 2001-2002 season are included here in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby 2.0 Surround. Extras follow the pattern of its predecessors including ten deleted scenes, international clips special effects featurettes, audio commentaries on the episodes Improbable, Jump the Shark an The Truth, the documentaries The Making of The Truth, The Truth about Season 9 and The Secrets of The X-Files , four X-Files profiles, TV spots, a tribute to The X-Files and DVD-ROM content.

Today we all have the luxury of our favorite shows on DVD. Thanks again Fox. The final season will come to DVD on May 11th with a suggested retail price of $99.98.
