Season 2 for Smallville

Smallville has become a hit on The WB and now the second season – originally airing in 2002-2003 – will come to DVD this spring.

Clark Kent lives in Smallville, but in many ways he’s out of this world Presented in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital sound, the six-disc DVD collector’s set contains all 23 episodes from the second season. Among the episode highlights: Clark Kent grapples with his true calling. Is he on Earth to serve humanity or perhaps destroy it? Lex gets married – twice! Lana Lang moves in with Chloe, adding a new dynamic to their Clark dilemma. Lionel pulls devious strings. And Pete becomes a keeper of the Clark secret.

The set will include the featurettes Christopher Reeve: Man of Steel, Faster Than a Speeding Bullet – The Visual FX of Smallville and The Chloe Chronicle, audio commentaries by the show’s producers Alfred Gough, Miles Millar and Greg Beeman, director James Marshall and stars Tom Welling, Kristin Kruek and Michael Rosenbaum on two episodes, deleted scenes from season two, a gag reel and DVD-ROM content.

The set will arrive on May 25th with a suggested retail price of $59.98.
