Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is releasing their Oscar hopeful Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World as a two disc special edition later this year.

Presented in anamorphic widescreen with audio in Dolby Digital and DTS, the two disc set will include the documentary “The Hundred Days”, the featurettes “In The Wake Of O’Brian,” “Cinematic Phasmids,” “Sound Design Featurette” and “Interactive Sound Recording Demo” plus the HBO special, six deleted scenes, multi-angle breakdowns, a split-screen feature, art galleries and trailers. The packaging will also be elaborate with a booklet and map.
The set will be available on April 20th for a suggested retail price of $39.95. A single disc fullscreen version will also be available for $29.95.
