Although Transfomers was cancelled in the States in 1987, the show is still going in Japan, and every ten years or so, some of those shows make it to the U.S. Rhino is preparing a box set for the second season of Beast Wars and debuting Transformers: Armada.

Beast Wars picks up with the benevolent Maximals led by Optimus Primal and the evil Predacons led by Megatron continue to wage war against each other in this much darker and more vicious second season.

13 episodes are included in Dolby Digital 5.1 and fullscreen. The set will also include 3D model tests.

Armada breaks format with previous Transformers releases, by only putting out “best of” discs labled Best Battle and Flashbacks. No features have been announced.

Beast Wars is set for March 23rd with a $29.95 suggested retail price, while the Armada discs are set at $14.95 each and will arrive on March 30th.
