Although the Star Trek releases have been generally praised, a standout complaint has been the lack of theatrical versions on the sets, either via seamless branching or a separate transfer. The upcoming Star Trek VI release will be neither the original theatrical cut, which has yet to make its way to home video, or the slightly longer cut available for years, but a new slightly altered cut. No extra scenes will be added, but several minor camera edits have been tweaked along with a visual montage inserted into the Valeris interrogation scene.
