Columbia TriStar shows a Mona Lisa Smile

Mona Lisa Smile will be coming to DVD this spring from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

In 1953, when women’s roles were rigidly defined, novice art history professor
Katherine Watson begins teaching at the prestigious all-female college
Wellesley. Despite its academic reputation for educating the best and the brightest, it’s
still an environment where success is measured by how well their students marry.
Encouraging these women to strive for a more enlightened and self-fulfilled future,
Watson challenges the administration and inspires her students to look beyond the image
of what is, and consider the possibilities of what might be.

The disc is available in anamorphic widescreen with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. Extras include the featurettes “Art Forum”, “College Then and Now” and “What Women Wanted”, an Elton John music video and theatrical trailers.

Arriving on March 9th, the DVD will be available for $28.95.
