Time for a little Reefer Madness

If any film deserves a cult status it’s the 1947 propaganda film Reefer Madness. The public domain film has been ported to disc many times, but will now be given a proper special edition release from Twentieth Century Fox.

Dr. Carroll has called an emergency PTA meeting to fill the parents in on the scourge of reefer. His tale of Mae and Jack tells of unspeakable horrors to the children of his school.

Remastered in its original fullscreen, the film will be available both in its original black and white and in a colorized version. Audio has been upmixed to both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1. Two audio commentaries will be available, one from MST3K host Mike Nelson and one from the colorization team on the colorized version. A short film will also be included.

For only $14.95, the cautionary tale of indecency can be yours on April 20th.
