Paramount revives Dickie Roberts

The newest David Spade vehicle Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star is coming to disc from Paramount Home Entertainment as a special edition early next year.

Dickie Roberts, now an out-of-work actor turned parking valet, is desperate to audition for a great role that could revitalize his career. However, the part requires him to play a “normal” guy. Unfortunately, Dickie is anything but normal; all he is familiar with is being famous and being in the spotlight, thus making him very superficial, materialistic and immature. Desperate to get the coveted role, Dickie decides to hire a family to adopt him so he can relive his childhood and, in essence, grow up from scratch.

The disc will be in anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. Supplements include an audio commentary with director Sam Weisman and a second commentary by writer/actor David Spade and writer Fred Wolf, nine deleted scenes, four featurettes, a music video, a theatrical trailer and Easter Eggs.

With a suggested retail price of $19.95, the disc will be available on February 17th.
