More Chaplin on the way

MK2 and Warner Brothers Home Entertainment are getting ready for the second round of Charlie Chaplin releases coming in March.

This boxed set includes The Chaplin Revue – containing the shorts “A Dog’s Life, ” “Shoulder Arms” and “The Pilgrim”. The disc includs Chaplin-added music, narration, and connecting material. The full films include Circus, City Lights, The Kid, A King In New York/A Woman of Paris and Monsieur Verdoux, all newly remastered in their original full screen aspect ratios and remixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround.

Extras will be similar to the previous set including behind the scene footage, home movies and commentaries. A documentary will be included in the set entitled Charlie: The Life and Art of Charles Chaplin.

The street date for these new titles is March 2nd. The discs will retail for $29.95, except for Monsieur Verdoux which will go for $24.95.
The set will retail for $99.95. Hopefully Creative Designs will put out some more sets as well.
