The King of Queens comes this winter

The popular CBS sitcom The King of Queens joins the ranks of television making the DVD plunge later this year from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

The King of Queens is an earthy comedy set in the working-class suburb of Queens, New York that follows the lives of amiable parcel delivery driver Doug Heffernan and his spitfire wife, Carrie, as they explore the everyday realities of love, life, family and marriage … with the added challenge of Carrie’s twice-widowed and slightly eccentric father Arthur living with them. Doug’s only refuge is the little time he spends alone with Carrie, his television and the company of his buddies Deacon and Spence, to whom he turns for advice that just might make his life better, if he only bothered to follow it.

The set will contain all the first season episodes in their original fullscreen aspect ratio and will include an audio commentary on the pilot episode with star Kevin James and creator Michael Weithorn and two featurettes: Just Havin’ Fun and Laughs Montage.

The set will have a suggested retail price of $39.95 and will arrive on November 18th.
