Paramount Home Entertainment has begun their Christmas advertising for the existing Star Trek library available on DVD with an exciting promise. In addition to the expected release of the entire series Star Trek: Voyager throughout 2004, the studio will also be releasing season sets of the original Star Trek during the year.

No details have been announced on either collection, but will likely come soon with the release of the final Deep Space Nine set only weeks away. Hopefully the original series sets will include the excellent Sci-Fi Channel work done on each episode. As soon as more details arrive, they’ll be here.

So save up your money Trek fans, ten box sets are heading your way in 2004.
