JFK gets re-re-released

If Oliver Stone is so interested in conspiracies, perhaps he should investigate why there are so many releases of his own film JFK. Despite a special edition coming out in 2001, a new special edition will hit stores this year with new extras.

JFK is a film that chronicles New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison’s investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It explores all the credible assassination theories that have raised the nation’s persistent questions, doubts and suspicions.

The new DVD will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and will contain an audio commentary with Oliver Stone. Other extras include the Beyond JFK feature-length documentary and twelve extended or deleted scenes.

The new two-disc set comes on November 11th, two weeks shy of the fortieth anniversary of the assassination. The set will retail for $19.95.
