Warner Brothers gears up for Halloween

Three new Halloween titles will be coming to stores from Warner Brothers Home Entertainment; What’s New Scooby-Doo?: Space Ape at the Cape, Tom and Jerry: Hijinks and Shrieks and Mucha Lucha: Heart of Lucha.

Scooby-Doo and the world’s most famous meddling kids launch their crime-busting, spook-chasing exploits into the 21st century in four fun-filled mystery adventures. Kids will be spellbound as the Mystery Inc. crew investigates a way-cool snowboarding contest where many of the contestants have been sidelined, tries to halt the 3-D rampage of a fearsome Giganotosaurus in Costa Rica, unearths spooky doings at a haunted New Orleans cemetery and tangles with an extra-scary extraterrestrial who’s monkeying around with an important rocket launch.

Special features on DVD include a “Backstage with Simple Plan” featurette, “Extreme Boardin’ Scooby” set top game, music videos hosted by Shaggy and Scooby, “Get the Picture” and DVD-ROM content.

The Academy Award winning cat and mouse team created by animation legends William Hanna and Joseph Barbera are all dressed up with so many places to go. Showcasing Tom and Jerry’s best attempts at clever disguises, these 7 hilarious shorts are packed with the precise comic timing and over-the-top gags that has made this series a staple of family entertainment since 1940.

Special features for ghosts and goblins are included such as:
“Get the Picture”, the “Jerry’s Spooky Sprint” set top game, character biographies and trailers.

Mucha Lucha features students from The Foremost World-Renowned International School of Lucha where the code of honor is “Honor, Family Tradition and Donuts!” Inspired by the popular style of Mexican pro wrestling and using state of the art flash animation, this wildly inventive show – the only all-Latino cartoon – combines irreverent humor and visually dynamic fantasy-action to create a world where Lucha is not just a sport – it’s a way of life.

Extras include the “The Lucha Behind the Mucha!” Behind-the-Scenes Featurette a Chicos de Barrio Music Video, a set top game and DVD-ROM content.

All three titles will retail for $19.98.
