Mutants Unite

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is prepping a very special edition of the second Brian Singer helmed superhero film X2: X-Men United. The two disc set will be available this fall.

A mutant attempt on the president’s life does little to further human/mutant relationships. The X-Men try to seek out the organizers of the attempt which leads them to General Stryker, a man indisposed towards mutants who wishes to use Proffesor X to eliminate them all from the planet.

Two versions of the set will carry the film in anamorphic widescreen or in fullscreen, both with audio options in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1. Two separate audio commentaries are includedl the first with directo Brian Singer and Tom Sigel, and the second with Lauren Schuler Donner, Ralph Winter, Michael Doughtery, Dan Harris and David Hayter. Also bundled with the film are eleven deleted scenes, the documentary The Second Uncanny Issue of X-Men, the Nightcrawler heavy featurettes The Secret Orgin of X-Men, Nightcrawler Reborn, Evolution in the Details: Designing X2, United Colors of X, Wolverine Deathstrike Fight Rehearsal, Introducing the Incredible Nightcrawler!, Nightcrawler Stunt Rehearsal, Nightcrawler Time-lapse, FX2: Visual Effects, Requiem for Mutants: The Score of X2 and X2 Global Webcast Highlights, three theatrical trailers and a still gallery.

The set will arrive on November 25th for a suggested retail price of $29.98. A four disc set will also be available including X2 and the currently available X-Men: 1.5.
