Right now in 2003, two of the constantly highest rated and acclaimed shows are the almost finished comedy Friends and the wrapping up drama The Sopranos. So what better time to get more of these series on DVD. Friends: The Complete Fifth Season and The Sopranos: The Complete Forth Season are both coming to DVD this fall.

The 1998-1999 season of Friends which begins and ends with wedding surprises, features each episode in the original fullscreen and new Dolby Digital 5.0 tracks. Extras include audio commentaries on three episodes, extended episodes, the featurettes “The One that Goes Behind the Scenes” and “Friends: On Location in London”, and promos for future Friends releases. With a suggested retail price of $44.95, the set will be there for you on November 4th.

An interesting state of affairs for The Sopranos; the forth season box set will present the 2002 season in its entirety, catching the DVDs up to the current production of the show. Anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 will be onboard as will audio commentaries on selected episodes. recaps of the first three seasons, previews and recaps for each episode and cast and crew biographies.

Retail is $99.95 for this set which will arrive in time for the fifth season of the show on October 28th.
