28 Days Later… awakes on DVD

The surprise zombie hit 28 Days Later… is coming to DVD this fall from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment with some special treats.

A powerful virus escapes from a British research facility. Transmitted in a drop of blood and devastating within seconds, the virus locks those infected into a permanent state of murderous rage. Within 28 days the country is overwhelmed and a handful of survivors begin their attempts to salvage a future, little realising that the deadly virus is not the only thing that threatens them.

Available in separate anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen versions, both fill contain a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack as well as an audio commentary with director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland. For those wondering if the alternate ending will be included, the good news is that three alternate endings are on the disc as well as deleted scenes, a featurette, still galleries, storyboards, a music video and theatrical trailers.

Arriving on October 21st, the DVD will carry a suggested retail price of $27.95.
