More Superbit

Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has three new Superbit titles on the way, Leon: The Professional, Lawrence of Arabia and Hook.

Director David Lean’s splendid biography of the enigmatic T.E. Lawrence in “Lawrence of Arabia” paints a complex portrait of the desert-loving Englishman who united Arab tribes in a battle against the Ottoman Turks during World War I.

A high-flying adventure from the magic of Steven Spielberg, “Hook” begins with a now grown Wendy Darling, who must convince middle-aged lawyer Peter Banning that he was once the legendary Peter Pan. And so the adventure begins anew, with Peter off to Neverland to save his two children from Captain Hook. Along the way, he rediscovers the power of imagination, friendship and magic.

Gary Oldman, Jean Reno, Natalie Portman and Danny Aiello star in “Leon: The
Professional”, a go-for-broke thriller about a professional assassin whose work
becomes dangerously personal. Calling himself a “cleaner”, the mysterious Leon
is New York’s top hitman. When his next-door neighbors are murdered, Leon
becomes the unwilling guardian of the family’s sole survivor – 12-year-old Mathilda, but Mathilda doesn’t just want protection; she wants revenge. Training
her in the deadly tricks of his trade, Leon helps her track the psychotic agent who murdered her family.

As can be expected of any Superbit title, the films will all come in their original aspect ratios with audio in Dolby Digital and DTS.

All three titles will be available on September 9th and carry a suggested retail price of $26.95.
