Theater owners complained loudly when Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced a theatrical to video window of only a couple of weeks for the American Idol movie From Justin to Kelly. Fearing a lack of theatrical support, Fox widened this window, but not by much. The DVD will be released next month.

Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini have proved that they can sing adequately. It logically follows that they can act as well. The two American Idol winners star was semi-real versions of themselves as they meet on the beach and fall in love.

The DVD will contain the film in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen transfers with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. Several deleted scenes, an audio commentary with Justin and Kelly, outtakes and a theatrical trailer will be on as well.

Debuting on August 26th, the American Idol offshoot will be available with a suggested retail price of $27.95.
