Dangerfield gets some respect

Rodney Dangerfield is famous for never getting respect as a comedian, now he finally gets some… as a singer. The semi-autobiographical The 4th Tenor comes to DVD this fall.

This new film, based loosely on Dangerfield’s own early experiences as a singing waiter, is thoroughly infused with his exuberant love of wine, women and slapstick jokes. The 4th Tenor also stars Robert Davi, Charles Fleischer, Richard Libertini, Annabelle Gurwitch, Anita De Simone, Dom Irrera and Vincent Schiavelli.

Available in widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1, the disc will contain a behind-the-scenes featurette, three deleted scenes and a theatrical trailer.

The DVD will make its debut from Warner Home Video on July 29th.
