Columbia TriStar is Burnt By The Sun

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the Cannes Grand Jury Prize, Burnt By The Sun is the thought-provoking, unforgettable story of a Soviet hero whose happy family is suddenly targeted by Stalin’s secret police. It debuts on DVD for the first time July 15 from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Colonel Serguei Kotov is a hero of the Russian Revolution who is spending the summer in the country with his young daughter Nadia, his wife and her eccentric family. But when his wife’s childhood love from Moscow suddenly appears, the idyllic summer day takes a surprising turn.

The disc is presented in anamorphic widescreen with audio in the original Russian with optional English subtitles. No features are present on the disc except for a theatrical trailer.

The disc arrives on July 15th with a suggested retail price of $29.95.
