Dreamworks goes Old School

The college frat comedy genre is alive and well thanks to the efforts of the new frat boys and the obligatory mean-spirited dean in Old School. This summer, three releases of the film will come to DVD from Dreamworks SKG Home Video.

Mitch, Frank and Beanie are disillusioned with their personal lives. The unmarried Mitch, the newly married Frank and the long-time wedded man Beanie yearn for the days of college freedom. When Mitch moves into a house next to campus, its only a matter of time before a fraternity is underway. A fraternity not exclusive to age, coolness or even enrollment in the school, but only in a willingness to party. Of course Dean Pritchard has different ideas and will do whatever it takes to take them down.

The DVD will be released in its theatrical format in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen as well as a longer unrated cut released in anamorphic widescreen only. All three will house an audio commentary by director Todd Phillips and members of the cast, the featurettes “Inside the Actors Studio” and “Old School Orientation”, deleted scenes, a blooper reel, a still gallery, Academy campaign TV spoofs and the theatrical trailer.

All three versions of the film will arrive on June 10th and will carry a $29.95 suggested retail price.
