Columbia TriStar has some Loose Cannons

Gene Hackman takes a comic turn in the weirdest buddy cop film of them all Loose Cannons. The film will make its debut entrance later this year from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Hackman stars as Mac, a Washington, D.C. police detective who teams with a new
partner, Ellis – a brilliant police detective who always hides his true identity. But he’s not
undercover, he’s schizophrenic! Together, these two mismatched partners along with
Ellis’ personal cast of thousands tackle a baffling murder with a trail that involves the fight for the possession of a pornographic film starring Adolph Hitler and a prominent German politician. The FBI and the Israeli secret service can’t solve the case, but then they don’t have multitude of personalities on their team.

No features are present on the disc, but it will contain an anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Surround.

On July 8th, the DVD will be available for $24.95.
